THE SOCIETY ORGANIZED A FIRST AID COURSE FOR 56 EMPLOYEES FROM MINISTRY OF WORKS, MUNICIPALITIES AFFAIRS AND URBAN PLANNING .
THE COURSE WERE PRESENTED BY MOHAMMED ASHOOR AT SOCIETY TRANING CENTER IN ADILYA BETWEEN 17 NOVERMBER - 2 DECEMBER 2019
The Society organized a ‘First Aid Course for Every Family’ with the Nuwaidrat Charity Society; it was attended by 14 male members of the Society and ran on Saturday 23 November 2019. The course as delivered by trainer Muhammad Ashour. Another session was held for 15 women from the Society on Saturday 30 November 2019, which was delivered by trainer Fatima Abdulla. Both programmes were held at the Nuwaidrat Charity Society headquarters
The Health and Safety Society arranged a workshop called Protection from Organisational Hazards for The Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunication - Training and Development Department. Hasan Alaradi, a member of the Society’s Board of Directors, delivered the workshop on Thursday 21 November 2019 at The Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunication’s Training Centre. A number of Ministry employees from various departments participated in workshop and the topics they learned about included the basics of occupational safety & health, the health & safety management system, types of occupational hazards & means of controlling them. The types of hazards discussed included electrical hazards, road hazards (transportation), machinery and equipment (mechanical) hazards, physical and psychological hazards, and fire safety as well as chemical and biological hazards.
Bahrain Health and Safety Society held a workshop on "Diversity in the Management of a Health and Safety Culture in the Workplace". The workshop was held at the Society’s headquarters in Adilya and is part of November’s programme for the monthly forum.
Mr. Colin Alexis - Director of Health, Safety and Environment of TTSJV Company, who are involved with BAPCO’s Expansion Project, presented the workshop. He discussed the best methodology for developing and spreading a culture of health and safety amongst employees, and reviewed his experiences in this context. He also discussed the mechanisms TTSJV uses to establish a safety culture for all employees, in addition to the measures taken by the company to ensure the contractors' compliance with safety, health and environmental requirements. The forum was attended by many members of the society who have a vested interest in this field.
